Rebuild your strength in a baby-friendly environment

These classes offer dedicated in-room support from a trained doula, so you can focus on building strength knowing your little one is in safe hands.

Our doula will be on hand ready to play, cuddle or soothe your baby, so you can concentrate on your workout!

Our studio is designed with Mums in mind. If you need to stop to feed, change or cuddle your baby, that’s totally fine! We have dedicated feeding and changing areas to make you both as comfortable as possible.

ready to book? - YOUR NEXT STEPS -

Step 1: Sign up to a Membership

  • Starting in January 2025, Postnatal Reformer with doula support classes will be exclusively available with our memberships (a 3-month minimum commitment). This ensures you have a consistent practice to help with recovery and regaining strength postpartum and your little one gets to know the environment at the studio.

  • You can choose between 4, 8, or 12 classes per month.

  • On the membership you can also choose to come to classes without doula support if it better supports your schedule.

Step 2: Book a Postnatal Core Class

  • The first step in your Postnatal journey.

  • Our Postnatal Core class is a core-focused session to help you get the best results from our postnatal reformer classes.

  • You can attend this once or attend alongside your reformer classes to keep learning tips and tricks to strengthen and release your pelvic floor and build a strong core.

  • You’ll have the opportunity to have Diastasis Recti checked and ask any questions about any issues you might be experiencing.

  • We strongly encourage every postnatal client to attend at least one of these classes, even if you had your baby years ago!

Step 3: Book Your Classes in advance

  • We recommend coming to class twice a week (choose one baby support and one baby-free, or two baby support if that works better for you).

  • You’ll start to feel your core strengthening, your back or shoulder pain easing, and your mental health improving!

  • Classes fill up quickly so be sure to book your sessions as soon as your credits are active!

Step 4: Move on to our Reformer Pilates classes.

  • The next level of challenge after our Postnatal Reformer classes.

  • Keep building strength, still with doula support for your little one. Suitable for babies up to 9 months (or until they're mobile).

  • You must have attended at least 6 Postnatal Reformer Classes with your baby before joining this class.

We’ve received some great questions about our doula support classes

So we wanted to answer the most common ones for you…

  • You need to be at least 6 weeks postpartum. If you’re around 6 weeks postpartum but haven't had your GP check-up yet, you can start with our Postnatal Core classes. If you've had a C-section, your scar must be fully healed (around 8 weeks) We highly recommend seeing a Women's Health Physio for a Mummy MOT, as the NHS postpartum check isn't comprehensive. We recommend Emma Bradley at Physiotone, Sian at Osteosian, or Tina Mason at Women's Health Brighton. If you have had a Mummy MOT, you can share the report with us so we have all the info we need to tailor the sessions to your body.

  • Babies are welcome in our Postnatal Reformer classes up to 6 months old, and in our Reformer Pilates classes with doula support up to 9(ish) months old. You’ll need to start with our Postnatal Reformer classes before moving up. If your baby is mobile or pulling themselves up, please contact us before booking.

  • Wear something you can comfortably move in, and anything that helps keep your baby happy! Leggings or shorts and a fitted top are ideal, and grippy socks work best (but normal socks are fine too).

  • Our doulas are fantastic at keeping your little ones happy while you focus on your workout. They are experienced and know when a baby just needs a cuddle versus when they need their mum. If your baby gets upset for an extended period, they may ask you to step in. Balancing everyone’s needs is tricky, but we do our best!

Our doulas and instructors can help with:

    • Cuddling, rocking, and playing with your baby.

You'll need to step in for:

    • Bottle feeding, nappy changing, clothing changes, and very upset babies.

  • We have limited space for buggies. If possible, please leave it at home, but if you need to bring one, we’ll make it work.

  • Yes, there is paid street parking nearby. Westbourne Gardens has paid spots toward St Christopher’s, and there’s usually parking on Portland Road and in Poet’s Corner.

  • Absolutely! We know you'll probably need to check in, feed, or change your baby during class. That's perfectly fine! Feel free to step off your reformer when needed.

  • We don’t offer taster sessions, but you’re welcome to book a baby-free class using a single class credit to get a feel for the studio, the reformer, and our instructors
